Vegueta: Yearbook of the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (eISSN 2341-1112) is an interdisciplinary scholarly journal, published twice a year since 2021, that features original and previously unpublished research articles in any of the languages commonly used in academic scholarship. The journal covers the fields of History, Geography, and Art History. All submissions undergo a rigorous anonymous peer review process by external experts under a double blind review system.
Vegueta publishes one annual volume comprising two semiannual issues, with the first issue appearing in January and the second in July each year. The journal has been published annually by the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 1992. It is indexed in the Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scopus, the European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS), REDIB, Dialnet, and Latindex, as well as in other journal directories such as MIAR. Vegueta renewed the Editorial and Scientific Quality Seal awarded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) in the Ninth Journal Evaluation Call (2025). It has also received the Recognition for Good Editorial Practices in Gender Equality and has recently been evaluated by CARHUS Plus+.
