About the Journal

Vegueta: Anuario de la Facultad de Geografía e Historia of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (eISSN: 2341-1112) is an interdisciplinary journal, published biannually since 2021, that publishes original and unpublished research in any of the common languages in academia, on History, Geography and History of Art, once approved in a process of anonymous peer review (double-blind).

Vegueta publishes one yearly volume divided into two half-yearly issues (the first is published in January and the second in July of each year). The journal has been edited by the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 1992 and is indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) - Web of Science (WOS), Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Scopus, European Reference Index for Humanities & Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS), REDIB, Dialnet and Latindex, as well as other journal directories such as MIAR. Vegueta is among the journals that have renewed the FECYT Quality Seal in its 9th edition (2025). The journal has also received the Mention for Good Editorial Practices in Gender Equality.

Vegueta is published by the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 1992. The journal is indexed in Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) - Web of Science (WOS), Scopus, European Reference Index for Humanities & Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Latindex and REDIB, and in other journal directories such as Dialnet, DICE, RESH or MIAR. Vegueta has renewed the Editorial and Scientific Quality Seal of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology in its IX Call for evaluation of journals (2025) and obtained the mention of Good Editorial Practices in Gender Equality.
