La arqueología de la muerte: la investigación bioantropológica en las Islas Canarias

Ante los numerosos estudios que se han venido llevando a cabo en los útimos años en los ámbitos de la Arqueología de la Muerte, Bioarqueología y Paleopatología en el Archipiélago canario, hemos considerado oportuno hacer una reflexión diacrónica sobre las tendencias seguidas a lo largo de la investigación. Nuestro objetivo es realizar una visión general de las mismas que ayude a un mejor entendimiento de la coyuntura en la que nos encontramos en la actualidad, enfatizando en la idea de la necesidad de integración de distintas disciplinas con el fin de lograr una visión global de los acontecimientos del pasado.
In the presence of the numeours studies which have been taking place over the past few years in the fields of Archaeology of the Death, Bioarcheology and Paleopathology in the Canarian Archipielago, we have considered it to be opportune to do a diachronic reflection about the trends followed during the investigation. Our goal is to achieve a general view of them, which will help a better understanding of the juncture in which we are nowadays, empathizing the idea of the necessity of integration of different disciplines with the purpose of getting a global view of the past events.
