The characterization of Franco's regime is a subject which has not raised much interest since it has become a scientific debate as opposed to a political one. Tusell's involvement in this area in 1988 (when the conditions for a pasionate debate were almost none) seems to have been the last of come concern. But this is not a closed subject. In this study 1 will try to prove that Norbert Elias's model for the "courtesan society", exemplified by him in Louis XIV 'S court, is not only applicable to Franco's regime hut it can also help to understand the different elites' behaviors.
