Abstract

The last decade has seen the consolidation of Computational Archaeology and the Digital Humanities as key disciplines in the multifaceted study of historical processes. In this regard, the use of different software packages or programming languages for data analysis has notably increased among archaeologists. However, in many cases open research protocols are not fully observed (when access to data and code are not always granted), which makes reproducibility impossible for other research groups. The present article reviews the transparency of works published in the most important journals of the Iberian Peninsula, to evaluate the degree of openness within the Iberian research community.
