Precaución justificada: Una reevaluación de la política sueca y el riesgo militar durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial

Este artículo pretende ofrecer una visión general de las intenciones militares beligerantes hacia la Suecia neutral durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial y las consiguientes respuestas militares y diplomáticas suecas a esas amenazas. Establece las razones del interés beligerante, cómo se tradujo en la planificación militar, qué acciones se llevaron a cabo y cómo respondió Suecia. En 1939-40 la planificación de ambos bandos se centró en el suministro de mineral de hierro sueco. Después de que Alemania ocupara Noruega, la planificación aliada y alemana se concentró en las consecuencias para la neutralidad sueca de una invasión de Noruega. Sorprendentemente, Suecia siguió siendo objeto activo de la planificación de ambos bandos durante todo el periodo hasta mayo de 1945.
