Obulcula (Castillo de la Monclova, Fuentes de Andalucía) es una ciudad mencionada en las Fuentes Clásicas, situada al pie de la Via Augusta en el tramo comprendido entre Carmo y Astigi, y que alcanzó el status de ciudad de derecho latino bajo el gobierno de la dinastía Flavia. Pese a esta importancia, el conocimiento de la ciudad sigue siendo muy escaso porque no se han realizado excavaciones arqueológicas, y porque durante mucho tiempo existió una importante controversia entre los investigadores acerca de la ubicación exacta de la misma. / Obulcula (Castillo de la Monclova, Fuentes de Andalucía) is a city mentioned in classical sources, located at the end of the Via Augusta in the section between Carmo and Astigi, and which acquired the status of city by Roman law under the government of the Flavian dynasty. In spite of this importance, knowledge of the city remains scarce because of the lack of archaeological excavations, and also because of a significant and long-standing disagreement between researchers over its exact location.
